San Luis Obispo County adopted parts of the 2013 California Building Standards Code: the California Building Standards Administrative Code, the California Building Code, California Residential Code, California Electrical Code, California Mechanical Code, California Plumbing Code, California Energy Code, California Historical Building Code, California Fire Code, California Existing Building Code, California Green Building Standards Code, and California Referenced Standards Code. San Luis Obispo County, Cal., Ordinance 3250 (Dec. 3, 2013).

San Luis Obispo County adopted the 2012 IRC, locally. Note that adoptions usually come with amendments. So, it is important to review those amendments in addition to the unamended model code.

San Luis Obispo County adopted the 2013 California Residential Code. The County deleted Appendices D, E, F, G, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q and R, but adopted Appendix A [SIZING AND CAPACITIES OF GAS PIPING], Appendix B [SIZING OF VENTING SYSTEMS SERVING APPLIANCES EQUIPPED WITH DRAFT HOODS, CATEGORY I APPLIANCES, AND APPLIANCES LISTED FOR USE WITH TYPE B VENTS], Appendix C [EXIT TERMINALS OF MECHANICAL DRAFT AND DIRECT VENT VENTING SYSTEMS], and Appendix H [PATIO COVERS].

The County's amendments did not reference Table R301.2(1) Climatic and Geographic Design Criteria.   

Commercial Building Code

San Luis Obispo County adopted the 2012 IBC, statewide with limitations. Note that adoptions usually come with amendments. So, it is important to review those amendments in addition to the unamended model code.
